The 5th International Conference on Intelligence Science (ICIS2022) was successfully held

From October 28 to 31, 2022, the Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Science (ICIS2022), co sponsored by the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence and the Chinese Branch of the International Information Research Society, and organized by Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology and the Mental Computing Special Committee of the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence, was successfully held online. The conference brought together experts and scholars in the field of artificial intelligence at home and abroad to discuss the essence of intelligence and related technologies around the frontiers of brain science, cognitive science and artificial intelligence under the interdisciplinary background, attracting 6335 people to watch the live broadcast.

Academician of the New York Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Developing World Academy of Engineering and Technology, Professor Yixin Zhong of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Professor David B Leake of Indiana University, foreign academician of the European Academy of Sciences, foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, IEEE Fellow, and Professor Licheng Jiao of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology served as the chairman of the conference. Zhongzhi Shi, a Professor of the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an academician of the European Academy of Sciences, IEEE Fellow, Professor Yaochu Jin of the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, and Professor Xiangrong Zhang of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology served as the chairman of the Program Committee. Professor Biao Hou, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and Executive Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, presided over the opening ceremony; Academician Licheng Jiao and Profes Zhongzhi Shi addressed the conference respectively. The theme report and invited report of the conference were chaired by researcher Shi Zhongzhi and Professor Zhang Xiangrong. 

    Scholars gathered and a hundred schools of thought contended. Professor Helge Ritter, Neuroinformatics Group of Bielefeld University, Germany, and Professor Licheng Jiao, Professor of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology made keynote presentations at the meeting; IEEE Fellow, Professor Xin Yao of Southern University of Science and Technology, IEEE Fellow, Deputy Director of Pengcheng Laboratory, Professor Guangming Shi of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, IEEE Fellow, Professor Fuchun Sun of Tsinghua University, Professor Zhongzhi Shi of Institute of Computing Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor Weiyu Zhou of Leicester University of the United Kingdom made invited reports.
